Hey everybody, I've got exciting news! Budgeting in the Fun Stuff is migrating from Blogger to Wordpress this Saturday, June 5!!!
Don't worry, http://www.budgetinginthefunstuff.com/ will still be the URL and it's still all me, lol. But, it will look really different and should be much more user friendly. Wordpress makes commenting easier and is less glitchy in general. I really hope this change makes it easier for you to enjoy BFS!
I have tried to work out any issues I can find using a dummy site, but if you have any comments, suggestions, questions, or complaints about the new site (or anything else), please email me at budgetingfunstuff *at* gmail *dot* com anytime.
I truly appreciate all of you and hope you really enjoy the new and improved BFS starting this Saturday!

cool. I like wordpress. Much more powerful than blogger.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Wordpress party :)
ReplyDeleteAnd to think, I was pretty impress with what you did to the site currently! I can't wait to see your new look with Wordpress!!!
Thanks Financialbondage!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Dark side :) Can't wait to see the new look.
ReplyDeleteMoney Reasons, I hope everyone likes it. I picked a very flexible theme (Atahualpa), went with 3 columns, and am hoping for the best. It looks more businessy so far...we'll see how it turns out. In fact, I hope you and everyone else will give me a heads up if my setup looks hinky so I can make it as commenter friendly as possible. :-)
ReplyDeleteBTW, thanks for the kind comments about this site. I'm sure everybody noticed it took me 2 months of moving stuff around before I was happy, lol. I like the way it ended up too...too bad commenting on here isn't super easy and Blogger doesn't have trackbacks...oh well. :-)
Cool! I can't wait to see the new look. I think you'll be very happy with WP.
ReplyDeleteKevin, thanks! I can't wait to see the final version either, lol. :-)
ReplyDeleteMike, I hope it works out as well as planned!
ReplyDeleteIf you have any problems, let me know if I can help. I'm using the same theme and have spent a lot of time under the hood.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jason! I might have to take you up on that. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time on this blog. Found you though Frugal Dad. Can't wait to see your new theme !
ReplyDeleteTop Notch, thanks for finding me!
ReplyDeleteYou won't be disappointed. I wish I had made the switch before google wiped out my Everyday Finance site with 2 years and 500 posts. Long story, but WordPress completely changed my blogging experience, income, everything. It's a great move.
ReplyDeleteDarwin's Money, that is a good point. I've never heard of any other bloggers losing their sites except with Blogger. I am so sorry they wiped yours out.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear some of your income tips...I'm still trying to figure out how to add Adsense to my Wordpress page (I'm waiting until after the migration).
Thanks for the boost of confidence!
