Since I wouldn’t have started my own blog without the ones that drew me in, I’m posting my own personal list of weekly favorites as my way of saying thanks.
- Monevator - Money Can’t Buy Me Love This is from 2008, before I paid attention to blogs, but it was so moving...I had to include it.
- Fiscal Geek - It was a tie between Why Tax Deferral May Be a Sucker’s Bet and Where Do You See Yourself in 10 Years? The first one was a great breakdown IMHO and the second let me daydream.
- Get Rich Slowly - Reader Story: I Bought a Fire Station for My First Home How cool is that!?
- Sweating the Big Stuff - Funniest Tax Return Ever This is great for a quick laugh!
- 20 Something Finance - Healthcare Reform: How it Impacts You I really appreciated this non-political break down.
- Money Crush - What It’s All For A short, necessary reminder I enjoyed.
- Live Real, Now - Debt Scams I liked the run down since I had never looked into these myself.
- Free Money Finance - Where Should You Hide Money and Valuables at Home? Athough I think his friend is nuts, it was fun to sit in my cubicle and think of hidey holes at home…
- Frugal Dad - Tricks Stores Use To Get Us to Overpay I see these all the time.
- Studenomics - A Classic & Proven Way to Save Lots of Money Now Even though I don’t use this method, I have seen it work with friends who aren’t as financially anal as me.
- Frugal Confessions - Learning From Financial Trainwrecks: Turns Out Reality TV Can Teach You Something Fun read.
I’m also participating in the Enemy of Debt Challenge. I don’t think I was his target audience, but it’s been fun!
Thank you to these bloggers and all of my other favorites! You teach me something new every day!
I really enjoyed a few of these articles, some on blogs I had never visited before. thanks!
ReplyDeleteAurora, yay! I love these blogs and hoped y'all would find some to like too!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I don't comment on enough sites, but yours has become one of my regular reads.
ReplyDeleteI really am rooting for you BFS. soon you'll be flying High like FMF.
ReplyDeleteBillV, thanks so much! I'm not actually aiming for anything other than longevity. I usually jump into stuff for three weeks max, but I'm loving this. I just hope to get as many people involved in this little community as possible...it's fun, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for including my 2008 post in your roundup BiTFS. It's a very different article to my usual posts and I do feel it's a bit lost on my site, so it's wonderful to see someone not only found it but felt it worth linking to.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the blog! :)
Jason, thanks for reading along!
ReplyDeleteMonevator, I appreciate your regular posts too, but this one was moving. Thanks for opening yourself up...it really made me think. It's pushed me to talk to my parents and grandparents way more often. Thanks again! :-)
